KXRA-AM in Alexandria, Talks about MN Transportation

Last week, Jeremy Hanson, campaign manager for go Minnesota! spoke on-air with KXRA's Dennis Anhalt, about transportation in Alexandria and throughout Minnesota.

Jeremy summarizes their discussion below...

What a great chance to talk about transportation in central rural Minnesota! Right off I-94, Alexandria certainly understands how transportation affects economic development and quality of life. Dennis and I talked about how highways 27 and 29 - two regional arteries - are important to the local life and prosperity. Dennis was concerned that the transportation debate included discussions of HOW we spend our state's transportation funding, not just HOW MUCH we spend. It sounded to me like many Minnesotans, especially in greater MN, care a lot about holding our state government leaders accountable for our transportation investments. Of course, go Minnesota could not agree more! We understand that we need to explore innovation and reform of our transportation investment as we address ways to increase the size of that investment. We also understand the importance of our government telling the public what transportation needs will be addressed and holding our government accountable for fixing our worst transportation problems as efficiently and effectively as possible. As we have always said the essential ingredient in this debate is the public!

Thank you Dennis Anhalt and the folks at KXRA for raising the transportation issue on your show!
